Dell launched today it’s first U.S. smartphone, Dell Aero. The Android based smartphone is one of the lightest on the market , Aero comes with Wi-Fi connection to AT&T’s 20000 hot-spots if you are going to purchase the handset with a $99.99 AT&T contract. The multi-touch 3.5 inch display with 640x360p resolution gives the opportunity to use Aero’s full HTML Browser with Adobe Flashlite and experience YouTube in nHD
Dell’s smartphone features Quick Office, Facebook with integrated calendar and contacts, Twitter and additional applications by Google, including YouTube and Android Market. In addition to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connection is available with a 2GB Micro SD on board and the possibility to expand the memory to 32GB. Also worth of mentioning is Aero’s Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) or Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100 MHz) radio connections.
Dell Aero has a 5-megapixel camera featuring flash a dedicated camera key and also the capability to zoom 8 times.
I am waiting to see how Aero the Android smartphone from Dell will carve it’s way trough the continuously growing market.
