Nokia & Intel partnership in research for 3D experience
Nokia and Intel may be planning to create 3D mobile technologies, so they joined together to establish their first joint research center. This partnership called Intel and Nokia Joint Innovation Center will have it’s headquarters in Finland at the University of Oulu in it’s Center for Internet Excellence .
The main activity of the lab is conducting research for new mobile user experiences to bring higher capability to future mobile devices and this involves 3D graphics. The latest launch of open-source MeeGo by Intel and Nokia wihich gives flexibility in creating 3D experiences on mobile phones and Nokia Joint Innovation Center’s activity as open source will bring great improvements to the mobile 3D technology.
“3-D technology could change the way we use our mobile devices and make our experiences with them much more immersive,” said Rich Green, Senior vice president and chief technical officer, Nokia.
