Smartphone security threats to be expected

A recent research inducted by BBC shows that smartphones security is to be put under question mark. The investigation showed that a beginner can easily develop a malicious application for a smartphone in only a few weeks. The biggest problem which is confronted by security companies is that almost all malicious programs are using functions also called in harmless applications and this makes it so difficult to be distinguished from normal apps.

The best solution to create a harmful application for Android or Apple’s iOS is to modify an already  popular application. It is very easy to hack into someone else’s code because you do not have to write it yourself . Just like the computer hacking started at first more as a nuisance and later became a tool  for criminal organizations, mobile-phone protection must take an important place in security and privacy companies objectives mainly because a phone is more personal than a computer.

For the moment smartphone hacking is only a threat with remote serious cases of stalking and privacy leaks.As much as we hope to remain at threat level,  it is to tempting and probably profitable, so  massive attacks  are to be expected from the hackers community that will transform this security threat into a real danger.

Smartphones are still young and so their security, and many experienced but also inexperienced hackers will see an opportunity to make illegal money from this new rapid-increasing domain, smartphones and smartphone applications development.
