Fujitsu enters the realm of high-storage laptop hard-drive producers. Unfortunately, like the model from Hitachi announced about a month ago, the new Fujitsu MHZ2 BT has a height of 12,5 mm, being approximatively 3 mm taller then standard units. However, there will surely be producers that will make room for the high capacity HDD, in the case, but don’t hope on seeing portables with this kind of capacity before the month of June. For those interested, the consumption rate is of just 1.8 W. Keeping in mind what we’ve just said above, we believe portable storage units to exceed the 1 GB milestone by 2010.
