Lumix DMC-TS1 for the rugged

Panasonic will be releasing a new Lumix DMC-TS1 camera which is intended for those clumsier of us or those who need a sturdy camera to abuse. If one word can describe the TS1 it would be ruggedness. This camera is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. Take a look at it’s casing and it will tell you that it’s there to stay. It even is reinforced with rubber padding. Thanks to the glass and carbon resin, it can be used for up to ten feet underwater and can whitstand a five foot fall on a hard surface. That’s good right ?

The TS1 will take pictures at 12.1 megapixels and video shots at 1080p. Lens legth is 28mm-128mm. The camera’s size is 3.87 x 2.49 x 0.91 and it has a 2.7-inch LCD screen. If you liked all this, you will be glad to know that it will be shipping in April for $400.
