Post filled in: Digital Cameras

One of Panasonic’s latest digital cameras announced is the Lumix GH1. It’s main feature is the HD recording capability. This hybrid between a HD camcorder and a digital camera will offer the possibility of professional photographs and HD video recording but without the awkward controlls so common in DSLR cameras.

The Lumix GH1 features the Micro Four Thirds System, recording HD video in 1080p/24p. The new Lumix G Vario HD long-zoom lens will also be used by the users and the advantage is that they support HD movie recording and auto focusing, another feature that puts it above the rest of DSLRs.

If you want to shoot a HD video right now, no matter what you were doing until then, a dedicated video record button can be found on the back side of the camera. The GH1 also features a Dolby Digital Stereo Creator so that videos can benefit from quality stereo sound. A Live View Finder can be used to see the results of the photo before actually shooting it, a 3” LCD display is also present, with Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine HD.
