For the professional drivers: Logitech Driving Force GT

Post filled in: Gaming, Hardware

Last year, Logitech introduced the first gaming driving wheel with a shift changer, which simulated the presence of “H” box. Fortunately I had the chance to test the device and can sincerely attest I was pleasantly impressed. Not being a driver, though, I have to admit certain aspects were a bit out of my league, so it often overwhelmed through its sophisticated maneuverability. Now you can truly understand why I’m so curios to test the new Driving Force GT from the same Swiss developers.

The devices seems to brag with other bombshell characteristics. It’s the first in the world with a adjustment for the breaking force on front/back, traction control and suppressing settings. The wheel turns at 900 degrees so that you can take high precision turns, has a 11 inch diameter, and in its middle lyes a illuminated button serving as a horn, on which the GT brand is enscribed. That’s because the game was made to perfectly function with Gran Turismo 3 and 4, installed on PlayStation 2 consoles and with Gran Turismo 5 Prolugue which will be available starting March 28 for PlayStation 3 consoles.

As opposed to last year’s model, Driving Force GT has a sequential shifter, and in the box you’ll, of course, also find the accelerate and brake pedals. The price is estimated at about 150 euros.
