Post filled in: Peripherals

Keyboards are often subjected to various crumbs because many people have the habit of eating near them and thus need periodic cleaning. Not to mention that places where multiple people share the same keyboard present additional risks, but most of all, hospitals and other institutions in the healthcare department need a easy to clean keyboard. Esterline created the Medigenic Infection-Control Keyboard designed especially to fit these needs.

Two variants are available: the Essential model and the Compliance model, featuring a easy to clean design (the keyboard is flat) and can be cleaned while connected. There’s not much difference between them except that the Compliance model has two additional features: backlit keys and periodic audio-visual alerts reminding you to clean it. Being targeted mainly for healthcare institutions, the Medigenic Infection-Control Keyboard is priced at approximately $140 meanwhile the mouse costs $80.
