Post filled in: Storage

If you’re in search for the ultimate hard drive, you’d better be on the lookout for the Fusion ioDrive Duo, the world’s fastest hard drive from Fusion. It is said to be the fastest Solid State Drive available at this moment and from what the specs are saying, this is true, as it boasts reading speeds of 1.5GB per second and writing speeds of 1.4GB per second. The ioDrive Duo comes in two sizes: the basic one with 160GB and the top model with 1.28TB of data. I think the second model will be ideal for servers and the like because it can be used in a RAID-1 setup.

No information on pricing is available for now, but I’m pretty sure that you’ll have to shovel some pretty pennies if you want to get this baby, especially the 1.28TB version. The ioDrive Duo will be released in April.
