The tiniest USB drive in the world

Post filled in: Storage

Here is another gadget for the James Bond enthusiasts. Meet the Elecom MF-SU2 Thumb Key, and boy, it’s not called thumb for nothing. It surely is THE smallest USB drive seen yet on the market.
If this can’t be easily hidden to secure important documents and other secret data, well, frankly I don’t know what can. I mean, just look at it: 18mm x 15mm x 7mm and only 2.5grams. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if you lost that in your pocket.
But don’t let the dimensions fool you. Despite it’s small size, the Thumb Key can carry either 4GB or 8GB worth of data. And it also has a built in password protection so that the data is secure at all times.
Unfortunately no word of the pricing or release is available for now.
