After five days, the computer producer, Lenovo, launches a new brand of computers: ThinkStation. The first models, from this series, are the ThinkStation S10 and D10, based on the latest powerful Intel processors, namely Quad COre Xeon 5400 (recently released) and respectively Core 2 Extreme QX9650, developed on the current 45 nm technology (better performances, less consumption).
Both come hand in hand with the best VGA boards from NVIDIA, illuminated frontal ports, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity interface and have detachable handles mounted on the upper part, which the facilitates moving/transportation of the computers. Evidently, they’re destined for pros, who work with the most sophisticated graphical applications (computere aided engineering, building digital content, etc.), and the first people to be graciously granted the opportunity to with the ThinkStation computers is the AT&T Williams Formula 1 team, with which Lenovo has a signed partnership. Although very powerful, the S10 and D10 workstations are as silent and coled as a regular Lenovo desktop and are EnergyStar 4.0 standard compliant, with extremely viable feeding sources (80% efficiency).
