News

Sony EricssonIn lack of a better expression to describe the delicate situation, Sony Ericsson is in very deep shit. Why? Just look at the numbers. Net profits for the telecommunications giant ended up falling through the floor to the tune of 97% in Q2!

Indeed, a delicate situation. Things were looking bad even from the start of the year, when they reported terrible numbers for the first quarter, but no one could possible foresee anything like this. The main problem was that concerning the mid-to-high-end mobiles sales, making the biggest proportion of the deficit. SE has a lots of hopes in stored in the new Xperia X1, just recently released, but nothing can really help them at this point. The company will be forced to fire 2000 employees from around the globe, although no details concerning the actual location of the cut offs were made public.

Hopefully the situation doesn’t escalate too long, from here on, otherwise the company might face dire times…
