Nokia N96, the first official info
Sun, Feb 10, 2008
After rumors and scattered photographs, more or less intentional, we’ve at last got the first official information concerning the Nokia N96. So, the forthcoming smartphone from Nokia will hava HSDPA and DVB-H support, 16 GB of internal storage (you’ve read it right, 16 GB!), 2.8 inch display (6.1 cm) with a 320×240 pixel resolution, Wi-Fi, guided GPS, 5 MP photo camera with Carl Zeiss lenses, two LEDs and video recording at 30 FPS VGA. Nokia N96 will be run by a Symbian S60 3rd Edition with Feature Pack 2 operating system.

Interesting is the fact that the info surfaced, for the first time, on the German version of the official Nokia website. Interesting, if we keep in mind the scandal that resulted in the closure of the Nokia plant in Germany and the recent demand from behalf of German authorities of returning the tax deducting money, of which Nokia benefited during its stay in Germany. If this approach by the German authorities succeeds, Nokia will be forced to return to the German state 41 million euros.
