Google Earth seems to be in a continuous state of evolution ever since it’s release. The latest improvement is the ability to dive underwater to explore the terrain in 3D and at the same time browsing ocean-related content thanks to the leaders in ocean science.
Google Earth 5.0 has another feature in it’s sleeve: Historical Imagery, which allows users to compare how the earth looked like in the past compared with the present satelite imagery. When you get tired of browsing underwater, you can take Google Mars 3D for a spin, which features the red planet’s pictures in high resolution.
The ocean feature is on by default and users are offered 20 content layers like “Explore the Ocean” – featuring photos and videos of ocean hot spots from around the world.
