USB modems are beginning to be more and more popular because they’re easy to set up and use with notebooks. Novatell Wireless brings you the Ovation MC995D USB modem, addressed for users wishing a secure and high performance HSDPA connection. In theory, it can reach download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and 5.76 Mbps for upload. At the moment, it is optimized for Europe.
The modem looks very good and as it’s software is concerned, it has an automatic connection manager that can easily set up your notebook in Windows, Linux or Mac. It even has a microSDHC cart slot and can be used as a USB flash drive, capable of holding up to 32GB of storage space. It will be released in the second quarter of 2009 so the price isn’t out yet
