Windows 7 RC Release on April 10

Thu, Feb 26, 2009

Post filled in: News, Software

Neowin seems to have got the release of the RC Windows 7 build: it’s April 10, 2009 with pretty good chances for the development team to wrap it up. This is big news, since the public only got a glipse with the build 7000 and currently build 7046 is being compiled. Not only the general public is left in frustration, but also the beta testers. Steven Sinofsky, the senior vice president of the Windows Live Engeneering Group said that the new release candidate will be available to the general public and no one will get a head start, not even the Mcrosoft Connect testers.

Also, Sinofsky shed some light on the issue regarding the feedback from the different testers. Over 500,000 suggestions were received just from the Send Feedback button and this means that each member of the entire Windows team will have a 500 suggestions to go through.

Beta=Test, RC=Still Test, so in some way the beta fish will still make sense on the RC, I think IN THEORY “bye bye beta fish” would be ok until RTM, why IN THEORY?, because obviously with M$ software we’re always on beta phase! lol! =)
