The first Android protoype
Mon, Jan 14, 2008
The dream of Google’s officials to release a phone, that can kneel Windows Mobile, Symbian and any other mobile OS available on the market, began taking shape today, once with the first prototype, which demonstrates the capacities of the Google Android system.
A obscure Californian company, called A La Mobile, organizes, today, a demonstration in which a bunch of Android applications are involved. The programs in cause are, among others, a web browser, a photo camera, a MP3 player, a address book, a calculator, a note keeper and a few games. The chosen phone by A La Mobile, for the presentation, was Qtek 9090, from HTC.
What’s interesting is the fact that the small American firm, A La Mobile, isn’t part of Open Handset Coalition, where 34 international companies are involved, with the purpose of developing the Android system. Google intends to launch Android in the second half of this year. With iPhone and Google Android, a interesting new year is starting to shape up, for the telecommunication market.
